Symrise Brazil seeks a LATAM Flavors R&D and Application leader to oversee R&D, technology, and samples across the LATAM region. You will drive technical strategy and team development in alignment with global standards.

You will manage budgets, collaborate with the Global Technical team, and strengthen relationships with strategic customers to deliver innovative flavor solutions.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline.
• Master's degree, Ph.D., or MBA is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Research, Development, and Application teams for Flavors across LATAM.
• Accountable for all Technical laboratories in LATAM (Creation, Application, Research & Technology, and Samples).
• Responsible for talent identification, development, and retention within the Technical organization.
• Coordinate with Global Technical team for projects, training, and workshops in LATAM.
• Manage department budgets and CAPEX to align with business strategy.
• Lead the teams to ensure execution of B2C processes in alignment with strategy.
• Improve work practices and operations to increase efficiency of the Technical organization.
• Strengthen Symrise's position in Flavor Innovation and Product Development with key customers.
• Ensure customers receive speed and quality expected by the market.
• Keep teams informed about strategic updates for aligned performance.
• Build and maintain direct technical relationships with customers per the Diamond Model.

Formação académica

Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering or Chemistry

Advanced degree preferred (Master's/PhD/MBA)

Your role

• Responsible for leading the Research, Development, and Application teams for Flavors across the LATAM region;
• Accountable for all Technical laboratories in LATAM (Creation, Application, Research & Technology, and Samples);
• Responsible for talent identification, development, and retention within the Technical organization;
• Accountable for fostering collaboration and alignment with the Global Technical team in the development of projects, training programs, and workshops for the regional Technical organization;
• Accountable for managing the departments' Budget and Capex;
• Lead the teams to ensure the execution of B2C processes in alignment with the business strategy;
• Continuously improve work practices and operational execution to increase the efficiency of the Technical organization;
• Strengthen Symrise's position in Flavor Innovation and Product Development with the strategic customer portfolio;
• Ensure customers are served with the speed and quality required by the market;
• Responsible for ensuring the team is well informed about strategic updates so they can perform in an optimized and aligned manner;
• Build and maintain direct technical relationships with customers in accordance with the Diamond Model.

Job requirements

• Relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Chemistry, or a co-related discipline.
• Master's degree, Ph.D., or MBA is preferred.
• Language: Fluency in English & Spanish
