What is the scope of this role?

We are hiring a QA Manager in Brazil as part of our regional Solution Delivery group. This role will act as a technical lead during project delivery in the region and manage our local QA team from our Brazil office.

What will be your responsibilities?

• Manage the work program for strategic QA process improvement initiatives.
• Manage a QA team in terms of work program planning and project assignments (WFM).
• Create/Review Test Strategy, Master Test Plans, and other documents for all projects in the work program.
• Coach, mentor, train, and interact daily with QA professionals (leads, testers, automation experts, planners).
• Institutionalize best QA practices.
• Establish and manage governance related to QA activities across projects.
• Develop and implement tactical and strategic QA plans and initiatives.
• Interface with development and maintenance teams, including management, PMs, development leads, and vendors.
• Research leading QA practices and technologies.
• Determine and utilize automation technology and processes to optimize costs.
• Provide test progress status and reports to management and executives.
• Understand multicultural, onsite/offshore, and multi-vendor scenarios.

What skills and experience are required?

• Minimum 8 years of solid QA experience, including testing types, methodologies, and QA metrics.
• Strong communication skills in QA, including direct client and top management interaction, presentation, explanation, and escalation handling.
• Experience delivering projects using Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and understanding SDLC processes.
• Resource management experience, including team management and hiring.
• Hands-on support for project deliveries, testing, reporting, and escalations.
• Hands-on testing experience is essential and to be verified during interviews.
• Test automation experience is a plus.
• Telecommunications experience is a significant advantage.
• Availability to work in a hybrid mode from the office.

Education:

University Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
