THE ROLE
Street Diligence Inc. is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer to join our quality assurance team. We are an AI Powered Fintech SaaS platform and are looking for passionate QA Engineers to help build a large library of automated tests and enjoy a high quality, high velocity environment by investing in large automated testing and a robust CI/CD platform.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle, to audit provided unit tests, expand code testing coverage, develop scalability tests, contribute to the creation of robust testing strategies, and help maintain the high standards that our clients expect.
What You'll Do
Test Planning & Execution:
- Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform manual testing to validate software functionality, usability, and performance.
- Execute automated tests using established frameworks and tools.
- Expand BDD test coverage
- Expand Unit test coverage and work with other engineers on delivering with quality
- Defect Identification & Reporting:
- Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring timely fixes and retesting.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA engineers, to understand project requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and testing.
Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and quality assurance metrics.
- Assist in creating user guides and other supporting materials as needed.
Education & Experience
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in both manual and automated testing approaches.
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks).
- Experience in the development of test fixtures, golden datasets and understand the role of testing data to large scale testing.
- Experience with Mocking Frameworks
- Experience with Behavior Testing Frameworks
- Experience with Unit Testing Frameworks
Methodologies & Processes
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Ability to analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, and execute thorough testing.
Soft Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
