Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Open Video project is focused on OTT platform development for one of the largest North American TV providers.

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to assess software quality through automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities :

• Review and analyze system specifications.
• Execute test cases and analyze results.
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
• Report bugs and errors to development teams.
• Help troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Select or identify test cases for automation.
• Create an automation test plan.
• Design and implement automation frameworks according to the project structure.
• Create, enhance, debug, and run test cases.
• Organize and monitor defect management processes, handle changes, and conduct regression tests.
• Find solutions for object identity issues and error handling problems.
• Collaborate with client-side teams to resolve issues and provide updates.
• Conduct performance testing to verify system scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
• Create test summary reports for management review.
• Analyze causes of performance issues and suggest corrective actions.
• Recommend new tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and tracking activities.
• Support project design, development, and deployment activities.
• Develop automated test scenarios and environments for performance testing.
• Review and suggest improvements in existing test procedures.

Mandatory Skills :

• Experience in writing test cases.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good planning, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Experience testing Android platforms.
• Familiarity with Git, JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Development experience with Java, Appium, Selenium, Webdriver.io.
• Knowledge and experience with Android Studio, Charles Proxy, ADB logcat.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

• Experience with AndroidTV is a plus.
