Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Open Video project is focused on OTT platform development for one of the largest North American TV providers.

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to assess software quality through automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities :

1. Review and analyze system specifications
2. Execute test cases and analyze results
3. Create logs to document testing phases and defects
4. Report bugs and errors to development teams
5. Help troubleshoot issues
6. Conduct post-release / post-implementation testing
7. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
8. Select or identify test cases for automation
9. Create an automation test plan
10. Design and implement automation frameworks according to the project structure
11. Create, enhance, debug, and run test cases
12. Organize and monitor defect management processes, handle changes, and conduct regression tests
13. Resolve issues related to object identity and error handling
14. Collaborate with client-side teams to resolve problems and provide updates
15. Conduct performance testing to verify system scalability, efficiency, and reliability
16. Create test summary reports for management review
17. Analyze performance issues and suggest corrective actions
18. Propose new tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency
19. Assist in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and tracking activities
20. Support project design, development, and deployment activities
21. Develop automated test scenarios and environments for performance testing
22. Review and recommend improvements to existing test procedures

Mandatory Skills :

• Experience in writing test cases
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good planning, organizational, and follow-up skills
• Experience testing Android platforms
• Familiarity with Git, JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Development experience with Java, Appium, Selenium, Webdriver.io
• Knowledge of Android Studio, Charles Proxy, ADB logcat

Nice-to-Have Skills :

• Experience with AndroidTV is a plus
