Witness all contractors’ welders qualification tests and evaluate their visual and NDT results.
Witness all site or fabrication yard NDT daily activities, carry out interpretation for test results, and evaluate the findings.
Monitor the stage (in-process) inspection of offshore steel structure fabrications and topside facilities at contractor fabrication premises and verify the product conformity to corporate standards, project specs, and international codes/standards.
Report daily to QA/QC Engineer and advise him on the main contractor's compliance with contract procedures and standards and any matters affecting quality.
Manage all preparatory and coating work carried out at the contractor’s or subcontractor’s premises which shall be subject to planned inspection.
Carry out systematic inspection at each stage of surface preparation, painting/wrapping, and repair works.
Verify the implementation of the proposed inspection system for all preparatory, painting, and wrapping work via a series of Hold Points in the work schedule, from which the contractor shall not proceed until he is given formal clearance by the Engineer.
Identify all defective or non-conforming work at each stage, which shall be rectified to the required standard.
Witness all contractors’ painters and blasters qualifications carried out by the paint manufacturer and evaluate their associated testing results.
