About the role

As a QA Engineer II, you will develop and maintain our quality assurance frameworks, contribute to test automation, and improve efficiency tools for our QA and Product teams. You will work closely with our Unity and SDK teams and collaborate with QA and Development leaders to identify the best technologies and opportunities, shaping our test architecture and suite to meet quality goals. This role offers growth, innovation, and the chance to make a meaningful impact with your ideas.

What You’ll Achieve

• Partner with the Staff QA Engineer to develop our central test framework, working with QA and Dev leaders to define requirements.
• Contribute ideas for technological innovations within the team.
• Help build automated test suites for internal tools.
• Participate in creating core test suites and help define quality standards from the early stages.
• Support the development and research efforts of our Unity and SDK teams.
• Maintain and support our test architecture based on the needs of game and engineering teams.
• Define tooling and best practices for QA automation.
• Contribute to the overall QA test strategy for Fortis projects.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, and Python, with experience in front-end frameworks like React or Angular, and Node.js.
• Experience testing SDKs for web and mobile platforms.
• Ability to define and monitor quality rules using tools like Datadog, BugSnag, etc.
• Experience with automation frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or WDIO.
• Knowledge of AWS services such as S3 and EC2.
• Familiarity with databases like Postgres and MongoDB, including writing SQL queries.
• Understanding of API contract testing, Linux environments, CI/CD workflows, and DevOps tools like Terraform.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating in a global team.
