ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Publisher Relations Manager will build relationships, initiate negotiations, and manage audiobook acquisitions from book and audiobook publishers, focusing on Brazilian Portuguese language publishers. This role involves maintaining relationships, conducting negotiations, and overseeing the catalogue performance of our Brazilian audiobook publishing vendors to deliver a leading spoken word catalogue for our Portuguese-speaking audiences.

You are an experienced negotiator who can influence and maintain relationships with publishing partners, impacting business decisions and finding creative solutions.

As a Publisher Relations Manager - Brazil, you will...

1. Build and maintain strategic relationships with publishing houses to enhance partnership quality and productivity.
2. Structure, initiate, and conduct negotiations for deals with key publishing vendors as part of daily relations.
3. Support content acquisition teams by negotiating deals with Brazilian rightsholders, aligned with evolving business needs.
4. Collaborate with European and global Audible teams to foster synergies and efficiencies in Publisher Relations efforts for Brazilian audiences and publishers.
5. Serve as the first point of contact for external requests and support the team with administrative tasks, projects, and presentations, such as business reviews.
6. Leverage analysis of business drivers, trends, and performance indicators to improve the Brazilian catalogue and assist in acquiring top content.

Minimum Qualifications

• Professional degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in international intellectual property rights licensing within media, television, film, or gaming industries.
• Proficiency in negotiation in Portuguese and English.
• Ability to communicate complex deal terms clearly and convincingly.
• Ability to operate effectively in a high-energy, rapidly evolving environment.
• Strong communication skills, calm demeanor, and goal-oriented approach, even under tight deadlines or difficult negotiations.
