Position: Bilingual Portuguese Government/Public Policy Expert

Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $20–$35/hour

Location: Remote

Duration: ~2 months

Commitment: 10-40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)

• Develop public policy content by translating, adapting, and synthesizing complex policy frameworks into clear, structured rubrics for AI training.
• Write fluently in both Brazilian Portuguese and English, ensuring accurate terminology and nuanced expression across languages.
• Provide cultural and policy insights that are unique to the public in Brazil.
• Collaborate with reviewers and peers to refine content and ensure alignment with policy standards.

Requirements

• Native‑level fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and strong written and spoken English.
• Degree in Policy, Political Science, Sociology, or a related field.
• Strong experience in politics, public policy, think tanks, etc.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience in policy writing, instructional design, or academic publishing.
