About the Role

We are seeking a Psychology Subject Matter Expert (SME) with exceptional analytical, writing, and research skills to join our AI/LLM training team. You will play a key role in developing, curating, and evaluating psychology-related content to train AI models in psychological concepts, theories, and applied practices.

This role is ideal for psychologists, researchers, educators, and mental health professionals passionate about leveraging their expertise to enhance AI’s understanding of psychology and human behavior.

Responsibilities

Content Development

  • Create high-quality psychology content, including:
  • Theoretical explanations of psychological frameworks and concepts
  • Research-based case studies, assessments, and intervention examples
  • Summaries of key psychological theories, studies, and experiments
  • Content across major domains
  • Cognitive Psychology
  • Developmental Psychology
  • Clinical & Counseling Psychology
  • Social Psychology
  • Behavioral and Neuropsychology
  • Industrial-Organizational Psychology
  • Psychometrics and Psychological Testing

Model Evaluation & AI Training

  • Review and refine AI-generated psychology content for accuracy, clarity, and sensitivity
  • Identify and correct conceptual errors, cultural biases, and ethical concerns
  • Design rubrics and evaluation criteria for AI model reasoning in psychological contexts

Research & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with AI researchers, computational linguists, and engineers to improve AI reasoning in psychology
  • Provide expert input for datasets covering mental health, psychological assessment, and therapy practices
  • Support ethical and culturally sensitive approaches to psychological topics in AI models

Eligibility Criteria

  • Master’s or PhD in Psychology or a closely related discipline (PhD preferred)
  • Strong academic and/or applied experience in one or more areas:
  • Clinical, Counseling, or Health Psychology
  • Developmental or Educational Psychology
  • Cognitive or Behavioral Sciences
  • Psychometrics and Research Methods
  • Demonstrated expertise in academic writing, research, or content development
  • Ability to synthesize complex theories and present them clearly for diverse audiences

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, NLP, or data annotation (a plus)
  • Understanding of mental health ethics, confidentiality, and cultural competence
  • Experience with psychological assessments, surveys, and statistical tools
