We are looking for a Project Purchaser and Site Support to join us on a marine project in Itajaí/SC, Brazil. This professional will be responsible for the operational purchasing of local Installation material that is needed for the building site office work preparation (controlling, planning, verification).
In this position, you’ll be reporting to the General Manager of Supply Management MES and the Project Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

1 - Operational Purchasing:

  • Checking and processing of purchase requisitions or bills of materials
  • Process purchase orders as well as related correspondence and communication
  • Monitor deliveries proactively to avoid delays including supplier notifications and reminders
  • Invoice handling on own POs
  • Support or run supplier price negotiations
  • Cooperation with the site Team

2 - Site office Work preparation:

  • Material controlling (verification of technical documents on plausibility and availability)
  • Installation management and planning of internal installation orders and material on-site about priorities and in cooperation with the site manager
  • Technical clarification of claims
  • Creating and updating needed information in SAP and document management system
  • Gathering supplier data such as spot savings and other agreed KPI-related figures and providing data to relevant functions
  • Close cooperation with the strategic purchase and project teams

Main Requirements:

  • Technical Course or Engineering degree in Logistics, Production, Mechanical, Marine or Electrical
  • Experience with operational purchasing or site manager
  • Experience in material planning is an advantage
  • Technical background in electrical or construction site is a plus
  • Good skills in Microsoft Office and ERP
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Advanced English (written and spoken)
  • German skill is a plus
