About This Opportunity

The IT Project Manager III is responsible for providing project planning and management activities for new and established initiatives for InComm Payments. IT Project Managers will typically work with and across multiple teams and technical disciplines to ensure that projects are completed to specifications, within the established time frame and on-budget. IT Project Managers submit project deliverables and actively engage teams to alleviate roadblocks and improve delivery processes.

In this role, the IT Project Manager III works under minimal supervision and oversees high-priority projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. They are responsible for defining and controlling project scope, risks, issues and objectives of the project and will assemble the project team, assign individual responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop the schedule to ensure timely completion of the project. The ideal candidate in this role has the ability to lead complex projects from original concept through to final implementation. This role directly interfaces with all areas and roles impacted by the project, including end users, distributors, and vendor


Responsibilities

  • Manages large scale standard and custom projects or programs, with varying degrees of complexity.
  • Plays a leading role in collaboration across multiple business and technical teams to plan and execute project goals.
  • Drives planning activities of the project or program and creates a project schedule using MS Project.
  • Sets direction for all resources at a project or program level.
  • Supervises and drives project or program tasks to successful completion.
  • Demonstrates understanding of project or program objectives and deliverables by participating in project or program discussions and decision-making meetings.
  • Identifies and secure project or program resources; coordinate their activities with the aim of achieving project or program goals.
  • Responsible for the flow of project or program information from the project or program Sponsor to the team.
  • Facilitates and drives discussions that help define rules that will govern the execution of the project or program.
  • Creates and maintain all project or program management documentation including but not limited to project or program weekly status report, action item log, risk and issue log, meeting minutes, communication plan, operational readiness, retrospective and closeout document.
  • Ensure stakeholder satisfaction through proactive escalation of issues with the potential to impact project or program delivery and providing clear, concise, and consistent communication throughout the project or program duration.
  • Facilitates effective communication between project team members and stakeholders through the project or program life cycle.
  • Frequently monitoring project or program schedules and related tasks execution to ensure the project is tracking to plan. Take proactive steps to address risks and issues to a successful and timely project or program completion.
  • Modifies project or program schedules to align with project or program changes.
  • Utilizes MS Project to manage resource capacity by allocating, reviewing, accepting, and publishing time on a weekly basis.
  • Ensures operational support of application/customer is in place before project or program closure.
  • Obtain acceptance of project or program deliverables before closure.
  • Troubleshoot problems that come up during the project or program implementation phase.
  • Provides direct mentorship and/or acts as a lead or first-level supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, to include Waterfall and Agile.
  • Strong understanding of Change and Release Management processes.
  • Thorough understanding of Prepaid transaction processing for physical and digital gift cards, as well as payment processing, e-commerce, mobile, and digital delivery methods.
  • Understanding of information security, data encryption, compliance requirements (e.g., PCI, HIPAA) as relating to transaction processing.
  • Advanced understanding of networking topologies and impacts on implementation options.
  • Detailed experience with leading technology implementations/system integrations. (Systems involving transaction processing, digital, and/or ecommerce systems is a plus)
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex and technical topics/requirements to Business team members.
  • Ability to influence and lead others to achieve project/program objectives.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn, retain, and apply complex technical information associated with the project/program.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan, think and act independently.
  • Self-Directed, Decisive, Adaptable, Flexible, highly motivated.Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5+ years working in Project Management in a relevant industry (e.g., software development, IT infrastructure, IT operations).
  • Minimum 5+ years working in an Agile environment.
  • Minimum 5+ years working with PPM application software; Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Server, SharePoint. Preferred.
  • Experience with JIRA, Teams, Confluence.
  • Experience with different project management methodologies (i.e., Iterative, Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Strong experience with leading technology implementations/system integrations. (Systems involving transaction processing, digital, and/or ecommerce systems is a plus).
  • Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree (Project or Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, MIS is a plus or comparable work experience in a related field)
    • PMP certification required. CAPM, CSM, DASM, PSM Certifications are a plus.
