The Position

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible to manage projects related to building and utilities of our facility, with a strategic vision to meet the business needs.

The position is based in Montes Claros/MG and the main responsibilities are:

  • Brief, instruct, and oversee the Project Team, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and executed.
  • Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan.
  • Managing multi-functional team coordination, schedule and budget oversight, management of consultants/contractors, issue resolution and reporting.
  • Establish and maintain risk and opportunity management frameworks, including early warning systems for potential risks or changes.
  • Ensure all project scope and associated risks are effectively managed through subcontractor appointments.
  • Monitor performance and communication across the project team, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage daily activities of contractors and vendors to ensure progress aligns with project objectives.
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance and project control processes.
  • Lead project planning and strategy sessions with stakeholders and project teams.
  • Ensure timely resolution of project issues, conflicts, and non-conformances.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and lessons learned across projects.
  • Enforce adherence to internal project management standards.
  • Facilitating coordination among different engineering, environmental, and construction disciplines for cohesive project design and execution.
  • Overseeing the evaluation, design, and planning phases, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Monitoring project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Providing leadership, mentorship, and oversight to the project team; fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Preparing and presenting project reports and documentation to clients and senior management.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team and across project processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Civil or architecture or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced English level, both written and spoken.
  • Solid experience managing projects (preferably Building, Utilities)
  • Solid knowledge in Project Management methodologies including brownfield projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

It will be nice if you also present:

  • Implementation of projects with multicultural teams.
  • Experience in project management in the pharmaceutical industry.

About the Department

The Project Management Office (PMO) at Site MOC is responsible for implementing all investment projects in the factory. Activities include business case, project prioritization, planning, execution, and realization of project benefits – as new constructions, building expansions, new equipment’s installation/qualification, drug product transfer, implementation of new and modern technologies, systems upgrades and so on.

The department is also responsible for overall project portfolio management with direct report to headquarters in Denmark as well as validation services as part of project execution.
