ROLE PROPOSE

The Project Engineer leads the implementation and the timely completion of specific tasks and teams, as assigned by the Project Manager, in accordance with both the contractual and SBM internal requirements.

ROLE CONTRIBUTION

1. Manage specific tasks and/or teams assigned by organizing, planning, executing, controlling and reporting as required.
2. Ensure effective management and communication across various internal or external stakeholders to allow the timely exchange of the information required to perform assigned tasks.
3. Ensure that delegation throughout the team enables quick and well-informed decision making while maintaining an appropriate level of control.
4. Support the Project members to remain focused on Project Objective.

In order to contribute to the project delivery as per plan, the Project Engineer is expected to:

1. Cascade the Project objectives/ targets to the Project team and ensure they are well understood.
2. Communicate and manage interfaces with the project stakeholders.
3. Coordinate project tasks and resolution of issues.
4. Report on a regular basis all key information to the Project Manager.
5. Ensure risk mitigation and corrective actions are in place.
6. Set up action plans and monitoring.
7. For specific projects / scope of work / phases, the Project Engineer may be requested to act as the nominative representative of the project (internally) and/or of the Company (externally).

REQUIREMENTS

1. Degree in Engineering or similar.
2. Fluent English.
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar function.
4. Knowledge/Experience in Project Management.
5. General Knowledge in various disciplines such as HSE, construction, quality, engineering, and procurement.
6. Experience with Offshore Projects/Scopes.
7. Experience with Brownfield and/or EPC Projects is desirable.
8. Certification in PMI or Postgraduate in Project Management is an advantage.
