Job Description

GM Financial International Operations conducts business in Latin America and China. The organization offers a wide range of wholesale and retail automotive financing products to dealers and their customers. Its strength lies in tailoring products to meet the unique needs of dealers, consumer preferences, and national requirements in local markets. Latin American operations include Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru.

Position Overview

The Program Manager is responsible for managing the project management lifecycle for complex and large-scale projects or a portfolio of projects. This role involves working with project and program teams, providing subject-matter expertise, and developing business and project management skills. The individual will promote team integrity, ethical compliance, and foster a positive culture. Collaboration across the enterprise ensures consistent application of project management processes and contributes to departmental initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and assemble resources to meet project and program needs.
  • Promote an environment of trust, self-development, innovation, and quality outcomes.
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, compliance with standards, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Develop program requirements and scope; establish success metrics.
  • Engage with teams and stakeholders on project status, scope, schedule, cost, and resources; present RAID logs and roadmaps.
  • Coach team members to achieve goals, meet deadlines, and resolve issues.
  • Administer change processes, formulate contingency plans, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, practices, and emerging technologies related to project management.
  • Support and share best practices within the global Program/Project Management community.
  • Assist onboarding of new team members through coaching and shadowing.
  • Establish project requirements, scope, and metrics.
  • Monitor project economics including costs, staffing, resources, and risks.
  • Report on activities and review progress with leadership.
  • Document meetings and decisions, highlighting action items and issues.
  • Collaborate with organizational leaders to ensure project alignment with roadmaps.

  • Proficient in English.
