Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY BRASIL LTDA. in Guarulhos, São Paulo, Brazil is seeking an R&D Electrical Engineer to contribute to transformer technology development within a global innovation team.

You will lead and manage R&D projects, perform electrical design and prototype testing, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and help advance standards, tools, and education in power transformer technology. Fluency in English and Spanish is ideal, and Master’s or PhD is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master’s or PhD is a plus.
• Experience in electrical engineering, transformer industry or academia.
• Knowledge of advanced numerical simulations (e.g., magnetic or dielectric).
• Proficiency in commercial simulation tools (e.g., Ansys, Simcenter).
• Ability to develop custom technical solutions.
• Strong teamwork skills in international environments and excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
