We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Category Manager to join our team in São Paulo, SP (Brazil). As the Procurement Soy & Oils Category Manager for LA Food Ingredient, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring soybeans and vegetable oils for IFF under the LA Food Ingredients business unit.

  • Raw material (Commodities, Base oil, Food Ingredients, Chemicals)
  • Productivity or Value analysis experience
  • Responsible sourcing experience
Job Description / Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement sourcing strategies for soy and vegetable oils aligned with company objectives and R&D requirements.
  2. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality products.
  3. Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure timely delivery of products.
  5. Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance to ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, and actively seek new partnerships to expand our supplier network.
  7. Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changes related to soy and vegetable oil markets.
  8. Manage procurement budget and ensure productivity savings targets are met.
  9. Provide updates on procurement activities to GPLT.
  10. Create leveraged agreements and legal contracts as appropriate.
  11. Collaborate to implement sustainability practices in accordance with local and global policies.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Agronomy, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, specifically in the oil/gas and commodities industry.
  3. Proven track record of managing procurement categories successfully, preferably in commodities and oils.
  4. In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
  9. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  10. Knowledge of SAP.
