Job summary

Autoliv's Foam Process Engineer role focuses on stabilizing and optimizing foam production for steering wheel components. You will drive productivity and cost reductions while maintaining Autoliv’s high quality standards.

Responsibilities include applying Lean methods, 8D problem solving, and developing FMEA and Control Plans. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to sustain ongoing improvement in an automotive manufacturing setting in Brazil.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering fields relevant to manufacturing.
• Experience in Industrial or Process Engineering is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong experience with FMEA, Control Plans and structured problem-solving tools (8D).
• Advanced English proficiency.

• Identify and implement opportunities to reduce scrap and production costs.

IIn this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our steering wheel foam manufacturing processes. You will drive productivity improvements, reduce scrap, optimize production performance, and support strategic investments to achieve operational excellence while maintaining Autoliv’s high-quality standards.

• Leading and improving foam production processes to ensure stable and efficient operations.

• Driving productivity, efficiency, and output improvements through process optimization and lean manufacturing practices.

• Applying structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D analysis, to address manufacturing challenges.

• Developing and maintaining FMEA and Control Plans to ensure process robustness and product quality.

If you have/are:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related fields.

• Previous experience in Industrial Engineering or Process Engineering (mandatory).

• Experience in manufacturing processes, preferably within foam, molding, or automotive production environments.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Strong experience with FMEA, Control Plans, and structured problem-solving tools (8D).

• Advanced English proficiency
