Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Manaus, Brazil seeks a Service Technician to assist with basic repairs and preventative maintenance on power generation systems at customer sites.

You will undergo on‑the‑job training and Cummins‑based courses, performing tasks with minimal direction while adhering to procedures. You will engage with customers professionally, use specialised tools to diagnose faults, prepare parts and equipment, and escalate more complex issues to senior technicians.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained power generation or electrical technician preferred.
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
• Current relevant electrical certification.
• Locally valid driving permit.
• This position may require licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations.
• Minimal level of workshop related experience required.
• Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products.
• High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete service documentation, timesheets, and warranty claims accurately through forms or business systems.
• Complete required training to maintain skills and meet business needs.
• Maintain service vehicles and tools to ensure cleanliness and safe operation.
• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Job Summary:

Under direct or close supervision, provides assistance with basic repairs and preventative maintenance on all power generation systems, parts, and components at customer sites. Will undergo on-the-job training and relevant Cummins-based courses. Adheres to established procedures and guidelines to enhance service workshop knowledge and skills. Completes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on Generator or component at the customer site with minimal direction.
