*THIS ROLE IS BASED IN THE AMERICAS TIME ZONE

What you’ll be doing…

You’ll collaborate with top database experts, developing your skills and expertise in databases. Your main responsibility will be assisting customers’ DBA teams with expert support—gathering data, investigating issues, and providing clear analyses via email, chat, or voice. For critical issues, you’ll perform screen-sharing sessions to resolve problems efficiently.

When not troubleshooting, you'll contribute by writing blog posts, answering forum questions, creating articles for our knowledge base, and hosting webinars.

This is a remote role, requiring only a stable internet connection.

What Have You Done:

• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including tools and modules
• Knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing
• Experience with backup solutions such as pg_basebackup, pgBackRest, WAL-G, and Point-in-Time Recovery
• Understanding of high availability solutions (replication, proxies, routers)
• Exposure to zero-downtime procedures
• Monitoring requirements and Linux system administration skills
• Methodical troubleshooting skills and creative problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated learner eager to grow with new technologies
• Availability for occasional travel for meetings or conferences
• Experience working with English-speaking customers
• Desirable: Kubernetes knowledge

What Would Make You Stand Out:

• MySQL knowledge
• Experience in SLA-driven operations
• Open-source contributions
• Experience with Patroni, Repmgr, Stolon
• Cloud services experience (AWS, RDS, Azure, GCP)
• Monitoring tools like Percona Monitoring & Management (PMM)
• Configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Strong SQL skills, including advanced features
• Experience with PostgreSQL extensions and foreign data wrappers
• Advanced Linux troubleshooting tools
• Programming in C
