The Complex Fluids group of the University of São Paulo's Physics Institute (IF-USP) in Brazil offers a post-doctoral opportunity, with scholarship funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), linked to a Thematic Project. The fellow will develop projects involving human low- and high-density lipoproteins (HDL and LDL) from patients with different pathologies.
X-ray diffraction, linear and non-linear optics techniques will be employed in these projects. The project will be developed at IF-USP under the supervision of Professor Antonio Martins Figueiredo Neto.

The position is open to Brazilians and foreigners. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the amount of about USD 2,200.00 per month and a Technical Reserve (very good for the Brazilian standards). The fellowship will last for one year and may be extended for another period of one year.
