The Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Biology of Parasites offers a post-doctoral fellowship associated with the Antimicrobial Resistance Institute of São Paulo (ARIES), one of the RIDCs (Research, Innovationand Dissemination Centers) in São Paulo state (Brazil) supported by the São PauloResearch Foundation (FAPESP). ARIES is based at the Federal University of São Paulo's Medical School (EPM-UNIFESP).
The selected candidate is expected to executea project that investigates the development of resistance in fungi and protozoa to treatment with imidazoles in cellular models.
Interested candidates must have a background in biomedicine, biology, and related fields. The candidate must have a Ph.D. title and possess knowledge in Cell and Molecular Biology, microbiology, cellular resistance and metabolism, as well as mastery of cell culture techniques, PCR, and gene manipulation. In addition, the candidate must perform functions in various areas of the ARIES project .
This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,000.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
