Offer Description

The successful candidate will develop the research at the São Paulo Center for Innovation in Public Lighting –CePIL, in the Axis “Public Lighting Innovation Networks” supervised by Professor Maria Ester Soares Dal Poz.

CePIL is a Science Center for Development (SCD) supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and hosted by the State University of Campinas's Interdisciplinary Center for Energy Planning (NIPE-UNICAMP) in São Paulo state, Brazil.

The scope involves conducting research in the areas of technological foresight relevant to the Public Lighting project. Once there are business or public spin-offs in the form of new technology-based businesses as partial and current results of the SCD project, it is necessary to carry out technological prospecting studies to reduce technological risks. Also, in order to attract investors, both downstream and upstream of the productive and service chains, in the municipalities where the SCD project is being tested. As a subject to be discussed throughout the scholarship holder's work, there is the possibility of meeting the demand for identifying hierarchical structures of technologies at a global level that may be more interesting to be adopted by new businesses.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,000.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
