Thisproject based at the University of São Paulo's School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (FMVZ-USP) in Brazil aims to provide biologic products with proven quality, cost and resource optimization, biosafety, and ease of use within the scope of equine veterinary practice. The selected candidate will be involved in the preparation and molecular characterization of orthobiologics, development of macrophage and synovial fluid cell cultures, co-culture of joint tissues, gene sequencing protocols, cytotoxicity and immunogenicity assays, as well as the preparation of technical reports and scientific manuscripts.

A degree in Veterinary Medicine and a PhD in Animal Science or related fields is required, along with practical skills and knowledge to perform general and specific clinical examinations of the equine musculoskeletal system. This is essential for selecting clinical cases and performing intra-articular treatments in horses. The candidate must demonstrate experience in the production of blood-derived components, in vitro and in vivo models, clinical research in horses, and molecular techniques. Proficiency in English and availability for an international exchange period at a partner institution are required.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 12,000.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
