Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Portuguese to English Medical Interpreter VRI. The Medical Interpreter will be responsible for providing accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation services in medical settings via video remote interpreting (VRI). Daily tasks include translating medical terminology, performing simultaneous interpretation, and facilitating clear communication between healthcare providers and patients. The role requires adherence to high-quality standards in medical interpretation to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Medical Interpretation, with strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience in Translation and Interpreting within a medical context
• Skilled in Simultaneous Interpretation to ensure effective communication
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Excellent communication skills in both Portuguese and English
• Certification in medical interpretation is a plus
• Previous experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
