With the widest portfolio and service network, we deliver efficient, safe, and sustainable integrated products and solutions to enhance our customers' businesses. The opportunities presented through digitalisation and new technologies are ushering in a new era of shipping. Did you know that shipping is the world’s most efficient mode of transportation and that 88% of the world's trade is carried by sea?

We aim to create a more interconnected and cleaner maritime future and are continuously seeking future-oriented talent to join our team and work towards enabling sustainable societies through innovation in technology and services. Are you ready to jump onboard?

We are looking for a Plant Technician to join our Marine team in Brazil, preferably in Rio de Janeiro/RJ. As a Plant Technician, you will be part of the Operation and Maintenance team responsible for the main power generation of FPSO 3R-3, providing services such as repair and maintenance of large power generation equipment components and troubleshooting for our customers, ensuring profitability, adherence to Wärtsilä's global policies, HSE, and quality guidelines, and accurate reporting.

A typical shift begins with a safety dialogue with the team to discuss performance, work schedule, safety, quality issues, and goals. You will perform a checklist of equipment to ensure operational integrity, supervise motor and auxiliary parameters, and conduct a detailed handover at shift end for the incoming team.

The Plant Technician reports to the Shift Supervisor during shifts and to the Line Manager otherwise. The role requires availability to work in shifts, weekends, offshore vessels, and travel for job rotation. Mandatory training and development courses will be provided to enhance skills and career growth.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized electrical/automation services at customer sites to ensure optimal plant operation.
  • Maintain and operate the plant according to policies and procedures, conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, automation, and mechanical issues, replacing defective parts as needed.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of thermoelectric power plant operation is a plus.
  • Availability for offshore work in a 14x14 regime.
  • Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and Wärtsilä products is preferred.
  • Residence in Rio de Janeiro State is preferred.

Application deadline: 30/07/2025
