Primary Purpose of the position: The Director of Operations manages operational processes at the assigned plant, working with plant leadership to meet production and operational goals, drive culture, and increase productivity and engagement.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure overall safety performance by implementing safety programs, procedures, and KPIs, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in EHS behaviors.
  • Oversee management teams across production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and safety, with strong links to planning, procurement, supply chain, finance, and HR.
  • Align plant performance with customer requirements, product specifications, and quality controls.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental regulations through effective programs.
  • Collaborate with the plant leadership team and support functions to maximize efficiency, profit, and productivity.
  • Manage the plant budget, costs, and operational plans in coordination with finance.
  • Support achievement of KPIs in safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, maintenance, and sustainability, benchmarking with other plants.
  • Lead recruitment, training, and development of staff to meet organizational goals.
  • Foster positive employee relations, including union negotiations if applicable, and establish a high-performance culture.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead special projects as needed and coordinate activities to ensure customer satisfaction.

Position Requirements & Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain preferred; MBA is a plus.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience in manufacturing leadership, especially in high-speed manufacturing or packaging.
  • Experience in highly matrixed and high-growth organizations.
