BR10 Electrolux do Brasil S.A. in Curitiba, Brazil seeks a Development Engineer within R&D Freestanding Cookers Architecture and Mechanical Module Team to drive mechanical development from concept to prototype and final manufacture.

You will design components, support tests, review documentation and collaborate with internal and external labs. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, strong CAD skills (CATIA V5/NX), stamping/injection experience, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent education background
• Good understanding of engineering, manufacturing and assembly principles
• Good knowledge of quality tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, Tolerance analysis tools)
• Solid experience with 3D modelling tools (CATIA V5 or NX preferable)
• Experience with stamping and injection processes
• Experience with FEA is a plus
• Knowledge of GD&T is a plus
• Proficient level language skills in English

Responsabilités

• Create and validate mechanical components/modules/systems taking care of its design and development (technical specification, functionality, reliability, manufacturability, safety, quality, cost etc.)
• Drive the execution of mechanical development project/activities
• Support test manual definition for components/modules
• Support Laboratories (internal ones and external partners) on development/verification test result’s analysis and cooperating in finding technical solutions
• Develop designs & systems and validate through calculation/simulation modelling (CAD/CAE) and prototype/experimental testing
• Participate in system/module/components definition and its reviews, ensuring standardization & modularization approach
• Be responsible in issued technical documentation
• Participate in supplier evaluation and selection
• Monitor and commission changes to plant and systems (PLM, …) and support part/product approval
• Supply all technical input for product literature, BOM, labels, technical manuals, etc.
• Support technical leader on project deliveries / documentation / planning / protos

What you’ll do:

As Development Engineer within R&D Freestanding Cookers Architecture and Mechanical Module Team you will work with new product developments, cost reductions and quality improvements from the initial brief, through the design and development stage, to the testing of one or more prototypes, right through to final manufacture and implementation. You will develop and optimize components, subgroups and modules according to global strategies and regional needs as well as Architecture and/or Module management & governance under your responsibility. In detail, you will:
