The Pharmacy Technician operates according to the competency guidelines and scope/standards of practice for Pharmacy Technicians, as outlined by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia, and follows organizational policies, procedures, standards, and protocols.

Responsibilities include processing medication orders, verifying prescriptions, preparing and dispensing prescriptions, maintaining records, and managing inventory, among others.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Grade 12 and graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent; current registration with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.

Skills and Abilities

Effective communication, organizational skills, physical ability to perform duties, and proficiency with related equipment and software.
