This role is focused on delivering scalable and reliable full-stack solutions for critical digital experiences.
You will work across backend and frontend development, contributing to products used by commercial teams and business users.
The position combines hands‑on engineering with strong participation in architecture, technical discussions, and product decisions.
You will help build resilient applications while balancing performance, security, quality, and development costs.
A strong focus on observability, automated testing, documentation, and continuous improvement is central to the role.
You will collaborate closely with other developers, sharing knowledge and helping raise engineering standards across teams.

Accountabilities:

• Propose and build solutions across the software development lifecycle, considering non-functional requirements, technical quality, performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Participate actively in technical discussions and execute agreed architectures, using facts, data, and professional experience to support sound engineering decisions.
• Create and maintain Architecture Decision Records, design documents, and other technical documentation that support clear and sustainable solutions.
• Monitor production environments proactively, with particular attention to critical user journeys, system health, and relevant performance indicators.
• Analyze and communicate technical metrics and trade-offs, identifying practical and effective paths toward solving engineering challenges.
• Take ownership of incidents and service unavailability, leading troubleshooting efforts and working toward effective root-cause resolution.
• Document post-mortems and ensure that corrective action plans are defined and followed through to address underlying causes.
• Support the technical development of colleagues through pairing, code reviews, feedback, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Connect with developers beyond the immediate team to exchange engineering practices and contribute reusable assets with value across squads or broader technical groups.
• Participate actively in product discussions by helping analyze, refine, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Prioritize high-impact activities, anticipate potential issues, remove blockers, and support the team in maintaining strong delivery performance.
• Transform abstract ideas into actionable technical tasks during planning and refinement and contribute to the definition and refinement of epics across adjacent domains.
• Develop software with a security-first mindset, engaging security specialists when necessary and continuously expanding automated and tested coverage.
• Influence engineering practices that improve the quality, reliability, and maintainability of the codebase.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in collaborative, cross-functional, and multi-language engineering environments.
• Solid backend development experience, preferably with JavaScript and/or TypeScript using Node.js.
• Solid frontend development experience, preferably with JavaScript and React.
• Strong experience designing and implementing automated testing strategies, including unit, end-to-end, and regression testing.
• Proven experience developing software backed by relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and non-relational databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or DocumentDB.
• Hands‑on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, GitFlow, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Sonar.
• Knowledge of synchronous and asynchronous software architectures and their appropriate application in distributed systems.
• Experience with incident management and observability or monitoring tools such as New Relic, Crashlytics, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure fundamentals and services such as EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, RDS, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, ElastiCache for Redis, and AWS Glue.
• Experience working with agile methodologies such as Kanban.
• Strong documentation culture, including experience documenting processes, APIs, post-mortems, and ADRs while encouraging the team to maintain high‑quality technical documentation.
• Experience supporting the technical growth of less‑senior developers and sharing knowledge is considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with experimentation tools and practices such as VWO, Optimizely, or Firebase A/B Testing is a plus.
• Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture or Clean Architecture is desirable.
• Experience using AI in software development or incorporating AI into daily engineering workflows is an additional advantage.
