Beacon School em São Paulo procura um Coordenador Pedagógico para assegurar padrões IB MYP, orientar professores e apoiar o desenvolvimento de uma educação bilíngue.

A posição envolve implementação curricular, avaliação de práticas, apoio a bem-estar estudantil e comunicação eficaz com famílias, mantendo os valores da Beacon.

O candidato ideal possui formação superior, experiência em IB e inglês fluente; oferece liderança, planejamento e colaboração.

Qualificações

Graduação superior; pós-graduação em Educação é desejável.
Experiência em escolas IB; conhecimento do MYP é um diferencial.
Fluência em inglês (C1/C2 é um plus).
Experiência em liderar equipes docentes.
Proficiência em G Suite e MS Office.

Responsabilidades

Implementar o currículo e liderar as práticas pedagógicas no MYP.
Orientar e apoiar docentes no planejamento colaborativo.
Colaborar com o SWBC para apoiar o bem-estar estudantil.
Comunicar com famílias e apoiar a transição escolar.
Conduzir reuniões de office hours e formação profissional.

We are seeking a dedicated Pedagogical Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be strongly committed to educational excellence, continuous development, and collaboration. This position is responsible for ensuring that the IB program standards and practices of the IB MYP curriculum are met, guiding teachers and students, and ensuring compliance with Beacon's values and professional dimensions.

Responsabilidades e atribuições

Curriculum Implementation & Pedagogical Leadership

Ensure and support the implementation of the school curriculum and pedagogical program alongside the MYP Coordinator in the Middle School.
Oversee effective curriculum implementation and lead discussions with teachers on best practices, using a critical-thinking mindset.
Participate in curriculum reviews and update learning expectations under the guidance of the MYP Coordinator, Area Leaders, and subject consultants.
Act as an ambassador and advocate for the principles and values of the IB and Beacon School.

Teacher Support, Development & Evaluation

Guide and support teachers' weekly collaborative planning, providing feedback aligned with the IB Approaches to Teaching (inquiry-based, concept-driven, contextualised, collaborative, differentiated, and informed by assessment).
Conduct classroom observations and feedback cycles focused on IB Approaches to Teaching, ATL skill integration, and inclusive pedagogies.
Address teachers' needs in classroom management, peer relationships, and student interactions aligned with the IB Approaches to Teaching.
Appraise grade-level teachers, setting objectives that are aligned with the MYP Program Standards and Practices and Beacon’s Values and Professional Dimensions.

Student Centricity & Wellbeing

Continuously strive for an individualised perspective on every child, supporting teachers in designing differentiated strategies to fulfill each student’s potential and promote ATL skill development.
Ensure differentiated instruction and inclusive practices are embedded in planning, assessment, and reporting, in line with IB inclusion policy expectations.
Collaborate with the Student Wellbeing Center (SWBC) team to ensure students’ unique needs are addressed through coordinated, learner-centred support.

Family Communication & Transition Support

Build strong partnerships with families by interacting promptly regarding student development and empowering the teaching team with best-practice communication skills.
Ensure alignment and consistency in school-family communication, particularly in sensitive or complex situations.
Identify patterns or recurring concerns emerging from family interactions and bring them to the leadership team to discuss decisions and improvements, using evidence to lead change.

Teamwork, Operations & Professional Growth

Show responsiveness and resourcefulness when interacting with teachers and assistant coordinators to address daily issues, provide feedback, and exchange ideas.
Collaborate effectively with team members, consultants, office staff, and leadership to make decisions and solve problems collectively.
Lead office hours meetings and professional development sessions to share knowledge, resources, and best practices that facilitate teaching, learning, and peer growth.

Requisitos e qualificações

Requirements and skills:

Higher education degree.
Desirable post-graduate degree in Education or similar.
Experience in IB schools; knowledge of the MYP would be an asset.
Desirable experience in Middle School.
Experience in leading and guiding teams of teachers.
Fluent English (C1 or C2 certification is a plus).
Intermediate proficiency in G Suite.
Knowledge of ManageBac and Microsoft Office is a plus.
