We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Analyst to manage payroll operations for our employees based in Campinas. This role requires expertise in Brazilian labor law, tax regulations, and payroll systems to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing.
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Payroll Processing: Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for 298 employees in compliance with Brazilian labor laws (CLT). Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions accurately. Manage vacation pay, 13th salary, and FGTS calculations. Process termination payments including rescisão calculations. Handle salary advances and loans when applicable.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal tax obligations. Prepare and submit monthly government reports including GFIP, DIRF, RAIS, CAGED. Maintain records for labor inspections and audits. Calculate and remit social security contributions, FGTS, and income tax withholdings.
- Benefits Administration: Process health insurance, dental, and life insurance deductions. Manage meal and transportation vouchers. Calculate and process profit-sharing distributions. Coordinate with benefits providers for enrollment and changes.
- System Management and Data Integrity: Maintain payroll system data accuracy. Generate reports for management and accounting. Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies. Backup and secure payroll data in compliance with LGPD.
- Employee Support: Respond to inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits. Provide pay stub explanations. Assist with employment verification. Support HR with compensation queries.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with multi-location payroll processing. Knowledge of international payroll concepts. Familiarity with LGPD compliance. Experience with payroll audits and government inspections.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field. 3-5 years of payroll processing experience in Brazil. Managing payroll for 200+ employees preferred.
- Technical Skills: Expert in Excel/Google Sheets with complex formulas. Experience with ERP payroll systems. Familiarity with electronic government systems.
Core Competencies: Attention to detail, analytical skills, ability to work under pressure, organizational skills, discretion, and communication skills in Portuguese and English (Spanish is a plus).
