Job Role : Part-Time Print Graphic Designer (Contractor Role)
We are actively seeking a Print Designer to join our Creative Team on a project basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing prints, colors, trims, waistbands, and other items that align with the brand's aesthetics and meet business needs.
Core Responsibilities
- Support the design team in developing prints, colors, trims, waistbands, and other items consistent with the brand’s aesthetics and business needs.
- Assist in preparing trend presentations, mood boards, and market research.
- Set up and update design presentation boards as needed.
- Research market trends through periodicals, magazines, online resources, runway shows, e-commerce, and resale platforms.
- Contribute to initial seasonal development by creating original artwork and layouts under the guidance of the VP of Brand.
- Conduct color and print research and sourcing.
- Assist with print design and development, including recoloring, indexing, and scale selection.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Fashion Design, VP of Brand, Data Team, Merchandising, Fabric Technologists, QC, and Operations.
- Create and update collection and campaign decks.
- Develop all color and print-filled CAD sketches.
- Maintain the Illustrator CAD bank, including technical drawings and colored images for CAD sheets and merchandising.
- Create and review 3D renderings in Clo3D for limited editions and product releases.
- Ensure accuracy in CAD sheets and update merchandising/line plans.
- Partner with relevant teams to create and merchandise limited edition packs per collection.
Requirements to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel Design or a related field.
- 3-4+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in the Intimates, Contemporary, or Luxury markets preferred.
- Creative, proactive, and able to interpret seasonal concepts.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in color-matching tools and techniques.
- Understanding of apparel print processes and print industry technology.
- Proficiency in Clo3D (advanced level).
- Knowledge of color systems, including Pantone.
Proficiency in spoken and written English is required for effective communication with teams and customers, and for documentation purposes.
