Position: PARAMEDIC

IMMEDIATE HIRING! FULL-TIME PARAMEDIC OPPORTUNITIES

We're hiring paramedics in Santa Barbara County who are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care using both basic and advanced medical skills.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The mission of a Paramedic is to provide high-quality, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess each call to determine the best course of action, following progressive Paramedic protocols.
2. Use your skills with medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and IV fluids to deliver advanced care.
3. Communicate effectively with patients and their loved ones to provide information and reassurance.
4. Act as team leader when necessary, managing the scene and unit.
5. Drive the ambulance during 911 responses.

Required Certifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• CA State Paramedic Card
• CA Driver's License
• Ambulance Driver's License
• American Heart Association Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, BTLS/PHTLS
• Medical Examiner's Certificate
• K4 driving record report from DMV (less than 30 days old)
• ICS 100, ICS 200, NIMS 700 (preferred but optional)
• Proof of vaccinations (TDaP, TB, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Influenza); titers are acceptable substitutes.
