Job Description

What You Will Be Doing:

• Coach housemen and public area attendants on discrepancies in their areas.
• Submit maintenance requests and follow up for completion.
• Ensure all employees' appearance complies with Fairmont standards.
• Provide professional, engaging, and friendly service consistently.
• Lead and supervise the Stewarding and Public Space teams, ensuring standards are followed.
• Supervise sanitation of kitchen equipment and other assigned areas.
• Maintain inventory and record-keeping for dinnerware, flatware, and glassware; order replacements as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and kitchen areas for cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure breakages and chipped items are removed from circulation and inventoried.
• Report any equipment needing repair and ensure all equipment is operational.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per OSHA requirements.
• Monitor and control labor costs.
• Partner with hotel security during emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, and system outages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your Skills and Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in Food & Beverage or Stewarding.
• Previous cleaning experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows applications preferred.
• University/College degree in a related field is an asset.
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
