Job summary

NOV Subsea Production Systems (SPS) in Brazil is seeking an OT Systems Administrator to own production-critical OT infrastructure supporting our Smart Factory transformation. You will ensure stability, security, and reliability of OT systems, manage lifecycle, and coordinate with Corporate IT on global infrastructure topics.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for OT topics, drive improvements, and support MES and industrial data integration across SPS sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Automation, Software Engineering, or computer science.
• Experience supporting OT or IT infrastructure for critical operations.
• Knowledge of industrial networking concepts and infrastructure architecture.
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers.
• Knowledge of virtualization environments and server infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• English fluency is mandatory.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of production-critical OT systems, including maintenance, upgrades, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure OT systems availability, stability, security, and performance.
• Act as primary point of contact for OT topics across manufacturing operations.
• Support incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
• Maintain system documentation, governance, configuration control, and change management.
• Coordinate with Corporate IT on infrastructure, hosting, cybersecurity, AD, virtualization, and networking.
• Manage vendor relationships, support agreements, and escalation paths.
• Ensure reliable integration between production systems, machines, PLCs, databases, and business applications.
• Support OT infrastructure including servers and virtualization environments.
• Drive improvements for reliability, data availability, maintainability, and user experience.
• Support MES, Smart Factory and digitalization initiatives.

is seeking an OT Systems Administrator who will take ownership of production-critical Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure, supporting our Smart Factory transformation journey. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that OT systems remain stable, reliable, secure, and fit for purpose in dedicated hardware. You must own the lifecycle of assigned systems, including their maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

As an OT Systems Admin you will:

• Manage the complete lifecycle of production-critical systems, including maintenance, upgrades, documentation, and continuous improvement
• Take ownership of assigned OT systems and ensure their availability, stability, security, and performance
• Act as the primary point of contact for OT system-related topics across manufacturing operations
• Support incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
• Maintain system documentation, governance processes, configuration control, and change management practices
• Coordinate with Corporate IT on infrastructure, hosting, cybersecurity, Active Directory, virtualization, and networking topics
• Manage vendor relationships, support agreements, and escalation paths for assigned systems
• Ensure reliable integration between production systems, machines, PLCs, databases, and business applications
• Support operational technology infrastructure including servers, virtualization environments, and production-critical platforms
• Drive improvements that enhance system reliability, data availability, maintainability, and user experience

Smart Factory & Digitalization Responsibilities

• Support implementation of MES, Smart Factory, industrial data integration, and manufacturing digitalization initiatives
• Participate in OT infrastructure modernization initiatives
• Help establish scalable and sustainable digital manufacturing capabilities across SPS sites

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with OT or IT infrastructure supporting critical operation.
• Knowledge with industrial networking concepts and infrastructure architecture.
• Knowledge of virtualization environments and server infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Dockers and OpenShift.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical issues. Initiative, creativity, and a proactive mindset.
• Experience with Windows Server, virtualization platforms (such as Hyper-V, VMware, Nutanix, or similar), and Active Directory.
• English Fluency is a must,

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of industrial automation and system integration is a plus.
• Experience within industrial production environments.
• Experience with MES, SCADA, Historian, or other industrial data systems.
• Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles and IT/OT segregation.
• Experience with documentation, governance, and system ownership practices.
