Job Purpose and Impact

The Origination Trader will drive business origination for the debt capital markets segment in Brazil. In this role, you will develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing relationships with clients ranging from farmers to mid/large corporate profiles, supporting growth initiatives. You will understand customer needs and provide debt capital market financial solutions that meet those needs.

Key Accountabilities

• Collaborate with financing and trading teams to develop new debt capital market transactions, growing the business to meet revenue objectives through market and industry research.
• Develop a deep understanding of debt capital market structures and promote these to new and existing customers based on their suitability.
• Work closely with commercial teams to understand customer business strategies and explore new industries related to debt capital markets in the assigned region.
• Ensure compliance with risk and operational standards related to debt capital market origination.
• Develop and structure financing proposals that maximize value for customers and the business, addressing key issues and needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Handle capital markets origination independently, escalating only complex issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Understanding of corporate and debt capital markets financing
• Knowledge of debt capital markets
• Relevant work experience
• Experience with capital market operations for clients
• Proficiency in English
• CPA 20 certification (desirable)
• Availability to travel approximately 30%
