Currently House of Shipping is recruiting for a Operations Manager on Behalf of its client in Sao Paulo Brazil.
Job purpose
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and streamlining logistics operations to ensure the efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods, while upholding service quality and regulatory compliance. This role includes managing day-to-day activities, coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and customers, and optimizing resource utilization to meet business goals. The Operations Manager also leads the operations team, addresses logistical challenges, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Additionally, the Operations Manager is tasked with coordinating the following activities with agents in East Coast South America (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay).

Work Experience
Feeder, shipping line, or maritime industry mandatory
Operations Manager or similar leadership role in shipping and logistics.
7-10 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or assistant managerial position.
Deep understanding of shipping laws, port operations, and cargo handling regulations.
Office-based with frequent on-site visits to ports, depots, and logistics hubs.
Regular travel to ports and vendor sites as required.
Education requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications & Training | Preferred certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or shipping. Training in equipment flow optimization and data management is desirable.
