About the Role

Alcoa is seeking a Production Operator A to join our team at the Alumina Reduction unit in São Luís do Maranhão.

Main Responsibilities:

• Organize and clean the area;
• Open and close baths;
• Track exchanged anodes;
• Re-tighten anode clamps (monitor anode adjustment);
• Check anode contact;
• Remove burnoff and perform extra exchanges;
• Add sack material;
• Skim charcoal powder;
• Operate utility bridge, siphon cleaning machine, WL machine, and crucible cleaning machine.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Complete High School Education;
• Desirable: Participation in Alumar Operator Training Programs, e.g., Young Apprentice;
• Desirable: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• Availability to work in shifts.
