  • Track exchanged anodes and repair clamps, adjusting and checking anode contact.
  • Remove burnoff and perform extra exchanges when necessary.
  • Add sack and foam coal dust to maintain process quality.
  • Operate equipment such as utility cranes, siphon cleaning machines, WL, and crucible machines safely and accurately.

About the role

Alcoa is seeking a Production Operator A to join our team at the Alumina Reduction Unit in São Luís do Maranhão.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Organize and clean the area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment;
  • Open and close pots according to operational procedures;
  • Track exchanged anodes and repair clamps, adjusting and checking anode contact;
  • Remove burnoff and perform extra exchanges when necessary;
  • Add sack and foam coal dust to maintain process quality;
  • Operate equipment such as utility cranes, siphon cleaning machines, WL, and crucible machines safely and accurately.

Qualifications and skills
