What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Assist in the creation and interpretation of fiber optic and copper/DSL Outside Plant Design maps using GIS-based software
• Communicate effectively with Project Managers and teams to facilitate cost-effective construction of OSP facilities
• Design Outside Plant projects and supervise consultants coordinating designs in multiple locations
• Provide engineering support for sales teams and conduct project cost estimations
• Review Outside Plant projects to ensure alignment with field services' plans and requirements

What is Required (Qualifications)

• Associate degree or higher, or 2+ years of professional work experience
• 3+ years of experience in Voice/Data/Video networking
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance
• Familiarity with Outside Plant Design and Construction methods
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience with utility coordination and reading DOT and developer plans
• Knowledge of utility pole infrastructure and NESC rules
• Familiarity with network drawing tools like Esri and ArcGIS Pro
• Ability to manage changing priorities and work in a team environment
• Skills in basic mathematical and statistical analysis
