About the role

Responsible to manage the network design and implementation Orange Business Services Backbone and Access networks in Americas. Manage key global and regional projects to support growth on the infrastructure. Main interface with central teams on regional projects to ensure seamless management and delivery

• Main interface with internal and external organizations to ensure consistent and efficient of managing expectations and deliverables
• Responsible to develop network design and manage the core topology of the domestic network in the region and work
• Provide technical and design expertise for platforms and services in the region to support activities within the regional teams
• Manage deployment of new services and infrastructure for MPLS, Internet, Voice, Multicast, Ethernet, DSL technologies for Orange Business Services to support customer growth at the major Network POPs.
• Develop Network Cost Optimization projects. Influence/sell internal stakeholders to gain approval to proceed.
• Project Management - Coordinate with Network Implementation, Service Transition, Backbone Operations, and Engineering, Global Connectivity Planning, Connectivity Business Unit as well as Sales teams to accomplish network infrastructure projects on schedule and within budget.
• Prepare Reports for Management and project stakeholders to effectively communicate project status to project team members and stakeholders.
• Manage network capacity to support customer growth and plan and deploy network resources to enable growth
• Utilize and have proficiency with Network and Customer IT tools to ensure data integrity of the infrastructure throughout the region.
• Prepare hand over of completed projects to Operational entities with related documentation.

About you

• University degree or equivalent experience in telecommunications
• experience in a technical network/telecommunications role is highly desired.
• Knowledge of Cisco and Juniper platforms a must. SONUS, Huawei, Brocade preferred. Cisco and Juniper Certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of protocols and routing principles of MPLS networking
• Network troubleshooting experience preferred
• Experience in Project Management & Program Management, preferably with an international Telecommunication background
• Knowledge of Excel and Access to build macros and tools to enable day to day functions necessary
• Network planning, Network Operations and Project Management experience with a service provider is required.
• Automation(Python etc) and Virtualization (Linux/VMware, etc) experience is welcome.
• Independent, Flexible, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Experience in coaching & willingness to coach less experienced team members.Able to supervise a team in some situations.
• Experience in an international environment.
• Good communications and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Able to communicate in Spanish and Portuguese a plus.
