A leading company in IT Services and Consulting is looking for a Senior Networking Engineer to manage customer relationships and deliver complex network solutions. The role involves analyzing network designs, automating processes, and troubleshooting issues across various technologies. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in network automation, scripting, and a strong understanding of cloud computing and networking principles.

Successfully manages customer relationships;
Supports delivery of service program to customers;
Performs analysis of complex network designs;
Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve complex problems and compatibility issues. Performs analysis of complex network designs;
Questions ways of working and suggests improvements;
Performs analysis and diagnosis of complex networking problems;
Generates reusable Intellectual Capital in the form of standard customer deliverables;
May perform customer facing presentations – QBR, Training, TOI;
May collaborate proactively with other NCE’s to ensure optimal use of resources to meet customer needs.
Generates standard project documentation including detailed test plan for complex networks;
Generate, build and execute technical and complex test plans and topology in CPOC environments;
Generates network configurations from Low Level Design for complex networks;
Executes all phases of project delivery including network staging, implementation and handover;
Plans and executes complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity;
Reviews Implementation Plans;
Documents or reviews network requirements and High Level Design;
Documents or reviews Low Level Design;
Reviews Implementation Plans.
Proactive Service & Support:
Assists customer with deployment of complex network tools and related Network Management Systems;
Reviews network requirements and High Level Design;
Reviews Low Level Design;
Reviews Implementation/ Change Management Plans;
Plans and executes complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity;
Reactive Service & Support:
Troubleshoots and resolves complex customer network problems across a broad range of technologies;
Assures that major customer network problems across a broad range of technologies are properly and quickly resolved;
Acts as a focal point for all network problem resolution.
Advanced Services Technology Specialization Teams:
Leverages applicable technical “best practices” white papers for non core technologies.
Required Skills
Solid experience in network process automation and orchestration is essential. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Bash, or Python is required, with strong preference for candidates with advanced Python skills;
Broad technical knowledge of the R&S, Data center and its components: Applications, Storage, Network, Server and projects surrounding their planning, design, implementation, operation, and optimization;
Architectural knowledge of virtualization tools and concepts is a bonus, to help architecture refresh discussions;
Architectural knowledge of Three Tiered application environments;
Expert familiarity with cloud computing concepts including virtualization, web services API's, elastic infrastructure, distributed data storage (database, block, object), multi-tenancy, and metered usage patterns;
Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Bash. Python experience is preferred;
Networking: OSI Layer 2 and switching knowledge (Spanning tree, vPC, EtherChannel, VLAN, VXLAN, etc), Layer 3 routing (OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, IPv4/6), DNS/DHCP WAN/ISP, network virtualization (N1kv, VRF), basics of higher layer protocols (SSL/TLS, HTTP, real-time traffic (voice/video), NFS and database access protocols);
Compute technologies: x86, hypervisor (Openstack/KVM), OS (Linux/Windows), workload mobility;
Storage technologies: file (NAS), block (SAN), object storage, transport (FCoE, iSCSI, etc), replication, backup, and performance;
Programmatic control of infrastructure elements (data model, API), integration frameworks and technologies (SP-style);
Cisco’s Data Center Product Line: ACI, Nexus Products (N7K, N5k, N2k, N1kV), Catalyst products (95xx, 65xx, 49xx switches) and UCS/Virt;
Experience working with Cisco Datacenter technologies like (N7k, N5k, N2k, VPC, Fabricpath, etc);
Content Switching (OSI Layer 4-7 Switching, Cisco, Citrix or F5 Load Balancers), Caching and Content Delivery;
Strong understanding of SaaS and Application Workloads in context of Data Center Architecture design;
Network/Infrastructure Security technologies (Firewall, access control, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, administrative access control);
Compliance (PCI, SOx, HIPAA).
Certifications:
• CCIE R&S or Data Center is a plus;
Experience:
Bachelor of Science or equivalent required;
8+ years of related experience in IT industry.

Leads and works on projects that are medium to large in scope with moderate complexity, which involves solutions integration;
Independently develops plans, coordinates and executes tasks;
Ensures commitments and deliverables are met. Recommends and initiates projects to benefit customer and Advanced Services objectives.
