Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Mobile QA analyst to join a Toronto tech agency. Reporting to the QA Team Lead, the QA Analyst will be responsible for developing and supporting the planning, design, and execution of test plans for mobile app projects. If you’re passionate about quality and have an engineering mindset, this role is ideal for you.

Responsibilities

• Reporting and Tracking Defects: Document and report defects clearly using bug tracking systems like Jira or Bugzilla.
• Analyzing Test Results: Identify patterns in test results to improve testing processes and prevent future defects.
• Working with Developers: Collaborate with developers to understand software functionality and identify testing areas.
• Working with QA Analysts: Coordinate with manual testers to identify test cases suitable for automation and ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Communicating with Stakeholders: Report test progress, results, and risks to project stakeholders.
• Staying Up-to-Date: Keep current with the latest testing tools, technologies, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience in mobile automation testing for Android and iOS.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Espresso, XCUITest, Appium, or Robolectric.
• Proficiency in programming languages used in mobile test automation (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Swift, Python).
• Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
