General Description:
The Patient Access Manager is responsible for the daily operations of all functions and serves as the liaison between the Service Center and the facility. The manager integrates department services with hospital functions, develops and implements policies, assesses and improves performance, and ensures staff education. They may recommend resources and participate in selecting outside services, promoting the Service Center to meet customer needs.
Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities include patient registration, QA, staff training, scheduling, handling complaints, ensuring customer service, collaborating with outside agencies, staffing, evaluations, training, supervision, quality review, reporting, budget management, policy development, MPI maintenance, monitoring logs, acting as Director in absence, contributing to A/R goals, staff meetings, system updates, on-call duties, collaboration with departments, staffing qualifications, cost control, mandatory education, safety reporting, and team management.
General Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience: 3-5 years of leadership, with at least 1 year in Patient Access.
Licensure/Certifications/Registrations: None required.
