The Director of Medical Affairs in Brazil will be shaping the development of the Brazilian medical affairs strategy and will support the overall commercial strategy via therapeutic area clinical knowledge and insight from HCP interactions and additional key stakeholders. She/he will closely collaborate with Medisons partners and provide support to the regional affiliates in LATAM.
Requirements
- Medical Doctor degree required.
- A minimum of seven years of global pharmaceutical industry experience in medical affairs roles and clinical development roles, gained within global pharma, biotech companies, and/or local pharmaceutical companies.
- Experience in medical affairs activities including interpretation of scientific data and clinical trials, and handling additional scientific endeavors if required.
- Previous experience with the Rare Diseases field is an advantage, as Medison represents Emerging Biotech Companies with highly innovative products for diseases with a high unmet medical need.
- Knowledge of all aspects of drug development, GCP, and local and regional regulations, including the writing and dissemination of promotional materials.
- Willing to travel as necessary across the region and occasionally to the HQ in Israel.

Responsibilities
- Lead scientific, medical, and data gathering activities, interpret relevant information, and share findings to develop a coherent medical strategy.
- As part of the local leadership team, execute Medical Affairs Plans, oversee budget, planning, and resource allocation to ensure timely execution.
- Lead the Country Medical personnel (managers and M.Ls), create a cross-functional matrix structure, and support organizational activities with HR & Commercial teams.
- Support Market Access and Reimbursement activities in Brazil and LATAM countries.
- Lead and manage Early Access Programs (EAPs) when applicable.
- Engage with Patient Advocacy Groups in compliance with local regulations.
- Approve scientific and medical content of promotional and non-promotional materials and activities.
- Establish effective engagement with medical communities, opinion leaders, scientific associations, patient advocacy groups, payer organizations, and government officials.
- Lead and support the implementation of medical education activities, disease awareness programs, and medical affairs activities at conferences and meetings.
- Develop and manage the Medical budget, contributing to affiliate planning.
- Support Pharmacovigilance activities in Brazil.
