The ideal candidate will possess a technical diploma in mechanical or electrical studies, at least 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, and strong troubleshooting skills. Qualificações

Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Light Duty Mechanic to join our Mine Maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining the operational capability of various mining production equipment, including gensets, pumps, light plants, light vehicles, service trucks, trailers, small loaders, cranes, and utility equipment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Performing routine preventive maintenance (P.M.) tasks such as oil changes, component replacements, and system checks on light-duty equipment.

• Troubleshooting and repairing single and multi-system issues including transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic, compressor, and structural systems.

• Conducting both major and minor repairs on mobile and utility equipment.

• Performing preventive maintenance services on at least eight (8) types of equipment.

• Operating diagnostic tools such as SIS and Launch Scanner.

• Accurately diagnosing equipment issues and completing repairs within expected timeframes.

• Leading small teams on assigned tasks and providing coaching and training to coworkers.

• Maintaining tools and ensuring safe and efficient work execution.

• Interpreting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural drawings and manuals.

• Ensuring high standards of housekeeping, safety practices, and technical execution.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Technical diploma in mechanical or electrical studies (LTS WTB, NATIN, AMTO or equivalent).

• Completion of RGM SURMAC 18-month trainee program is an asset.

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience with mobile and light-duty mining equipment.

• Demonstrated experience with trouble shoot, engine repair, machine assembly and disassembly, and exhaust systems.

• The ability to interpret and use manufacturer's parts manuals and service manuals.

• Knowledge of using diagnostic tools and testing machine performance and system modifications.

• Basic computer literacy (Windows, Word, Excel, CMMS systems such as SAP PM).

• Valid Surinamese truck driver’s license.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English, Mandarin language is an asset.

• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break.
