Managing Consultant, Advisors Client Services, Strategy & Transformation
Overview:
Services within Mastercard are responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, including banking, payments, retail, and restaurants.
The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Strategy & Transformation consultants lead clients through impactful decision-making to address strategic, tactical, operational, and transformational business challenges. They apply a broad set of problem-solving techniques to improve clients’ strategy, performance, and operations.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Impact
• Lead client engagements across various industries and problem statements
• Develop strategies and programs for large, regional, and global clients by leveraging data and technology solutions to unlock value
• Manage key relationships with mid-level to senior client stakeholders, assessing client agendas, internal culture, and change readiness
Team Collaboration & Culture
• Lead teams to generate insights and sound business recommendations, delivering impactful presentations while fostering team growth
• Provide analytical and day-to-day project leadership, creating a collaborative and inclusive environment
• Collaborate with internal Mastercard stakeholders, including Product and Business Development, to scope projects, develop solutions, and build intellectual capital
• Mentor and coach junior consultants
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications
• Undergraduate degree with experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business intelligence, business line management, or product management
• Experience managing teams across multiple consulting engagements involving structured problem-solving and stakeholder management
• Proven ability to manage key client relationships
• Knowledge of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership
• Skills in identifying new business opportunities, drafting proposals, and scoping projects
• Logical, structured thinking with an affinity for numerical analysis
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills in English and the local language (if applicable)
• Eligibility to work and obtain travel visas in the application country
Preferred qualifications
• Experience creating innovative solutions or generating new knowledge for a firm
• Relevant industry expertise
• MBA or master’s degree with relevant specialization (preferred but not required)
