About the Department – Product Business Line, Comminution
The Comminution Product Business Line at FLS is at the heart of crushing and grinding technologies, serving the mining industry with innovative equipment and integrated solutions. We focus on creating value for our customers through operational excellence and technical leadership. The Product Group in Votorantim is responsible for the delivery of key projects in the region and globally, ensuring our customers receive the highest standards in quality, performance, and safety.
Role Purpose:
As Manager, Project Delivery, you will lead the execution of mining product orders, driving performance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. You will establish streamlined processes, mitigate project risks, ensure financial and contractual compliance, and collaborate across supply chain, engineering, and service teams. You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely on time, on budget, and to scope. Ownership for effective establishment, integration, and management of the Industry Order Desk (IOD) of assigned product lines within the Global Product Business Line/ assigned portfolio (product or integration scope) according to contract requirements.
Establish process & procedure: In conjunction with the other IOD Managers, establish consistent processes and procedures for effective handling and execution of all orders within the Product Group/Location (wherever applicable); ensure Global Process and Tools usage and provide feedback (for improvement)
Drive productivity & effectiveness: Lead execution performance and drive productivity & effectiveness in project / order execution according to defined Product Group and/or overall business KPI´s. Ensure financial KPI’s are met for portfolio products’ projects / orders monthly & quarterly. Ensure transparency in workflow and status.
DIFOT: Deliver assigned projects/orders as per contractual obligation in terms of scope, quality, schedule and budget (DIFOT).
Key Responsibilities:
Order & Project Execution: Ensure all product orders and projects are executed per contractual obligations (DIFOT: Delivery in Full, On Time), scope, budget, and quality.
Vibrating Screens Manufacturing, manage the full manufacturing process from fabrication to final assembly, ensuring quality, schedule, and technical specifications are met.
Standardization & Improvement: Establish standard processes and ensure the use of global tools. Provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify and mitigate risks, prevent scope creep, and manage cash flow without compromising margins.
Internal Collaboration: Coordinate across Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Line, Sales, and Project Execution teams to align customer expectations with business objectives.
Reporting & Performance: Lead monthly forecasting, financial tracking, reporting of progress, quality issues (Intelex), root cause analysis (RCA), and lessons learned.
Resource Management: Build and lead high-performing teams by recruiting, developing, and mentoring project staff.
Customer Engagement: Maintain open communication with customers and project stakeholders, ensuring transparency and trust.
Handover to Services: Ensure a smooth transition of completed projects to the Services business line and oversee proper project closeout.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical field
Minimum 7 years’ experience in project execution within mining, heavy industry, or large-scale equipment supply
Proven experience in the end-to-end manufacturing process of vibrating screens
Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and complex portfolios
Strong financial acumen, with experience in project cost control and budgeting
Excellent knowledge of contract terms, risk analysis, and change management
Working knowledge of ERP and project systems (SAP, Intelex, MS Project or similar)
Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English (written and verbal)
Familiarity with mining processes and crushing/grinding technologies is an advantage
Certification in PMP or similar project management methodology (preferred)
