The Engineering Manager – Design & Calibration is responsible for leading the combustion design & Performance of internal combustion engines and aftertreatment systems calibrations into agricultural machinery, including tractors and related off-highway products. This role ensures engine to meet performance, emissions, durability, cost, manufacturability, and serviceability requirements while complying with global regulatory standards. The position provides technical and people leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams and works cross-functionally with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Supplier Engineering, and global powertrain partners to deliver robust and competitive solutions across multiple platforms and regions. He leads both hardware design and software calibration, ensuring physical components are harmonized with the engine's control strategies. Given that this individual has the final say on architectural trade-offs and emissions compliance, leaving this position vacant poses a significant risk to our reliability benchmarks and strategic sustainability goals.
Plan and execute engine installation deliverables for NPI, carry-over, and cost optimization programs. Manage engineering scope, timing, resources, and budget in alignment with program milestones and phase-gate requirements. To coordinate prototype builds, reliability testing, and to support issue resolution, ensuring timely closure of technical gaps. Support industrialization and production readiness activities in close collaboration with Manufacturing and Supplier Quality, is the person with ultimate technical responsibility over the product, he makes final decisions on architectural trade-offs and emissions compliance.
